Terms of use

What this is
talkvoo is a free service for video meetings in a browser. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use talkvoo to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to
- harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse anyone
- share sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a child — we report this to the authorities
- record or share a call without the consent of the people in it
- send spam, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service
- place automated load on the service, or resell access to it
We may end a session, remove a room or block access where we believe these terms have been broken.
Rooms are not private by obscurity
A room is reachable by its address. Rooms are created locked, and only the person who created one can unlock it, set a password, or let people in. Anyone you send the link to can ask to join, so share it only with people you intend to meet.
If you create a room, keep control of its link. We cannot restore control of a room if you clear your browser data.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee of uptime, capacity or fitness for a particular purpose. It is free, it is early, and it can be interrupted or changed without notice. Do not rely on it for anything where a failed call would cause harm — including medical, legal or emergency use.
Limits
Sessions have limits so that capacity stays available to everyone. A participant left alone in a room is disconnected after a few minutes, and a room where nobody is speaking or on camera is closed after fifteen. Rooms hold up to twenty people. These limits may change.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including lost data, lost business or missed meetings.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top shows when they last did. Questions: hello@talkvoo.com.
